The MSM is Chock-full of Mental Defectives

Can you believe this? Less than two weeks ago, ISIS blew up an airport and a subway station in Brussels. They killed more than thirty people and injured several hundred more, but the biggest issue in American politics this week is not the existential threats of terrorism, our porous border, jobs or the economy.

No. According to the so-called 'news' outlets, the only and the BIGGEST threat to our country is that Donald Trump made more than a few stupid, ill-informed statements* about abortion.

*Sorry, Donald, but I'm like you - I call 'em as I see 'em and there is no other explanation for what you said - stupid (you should never have tried to answer that question) and ill-informed (because you didn't have your facts straight until after the fact: Roe v. Wade is the law, period, end of story).

So is this election really all and only about abortion? Are we so insulated from the rest of the world that we can discuss and dissect what goes on in women's wombs to the exclusion of everything else?

Well, based on what I'm hearing and seeing from the MSM yes, it is.

After all, since this blew up last week during interviews with Anderson Cooper on CNN and Chris Matthews on MSNBC, every single one of the chattering class on television, and the nattering class in the print media, have talked about nothing else. It's as if ISIS and the rest of it doesn't exist.

However, to the intelligent people out here in the real world, this whole discussion of the past week is a pure non-issue.

Roe v. Wade was decided by SCOTUS more than forty years ago. Unless and until something brings another case in front of the court it is a waste of time, oxygen and energy to talk about it. Even if it did end up back in front of SCOTUS, it is right next door to impossible that it would be struck down or overturned.

Still, instead of spending time talking about the really important things that matter to people out here, outside of New York and Washington - like jobs, like taxes, like government regulations, like terrorists blowing innocent people to smithereens, like North Korea and its nukes, like ISIS working on developing chemical weapons in a chem lab in Iraq, like Iran and its ballistic missiles, like... That is one hell of an impressive list of substantive issues - but, instead of focusing on those things, the MSM is all caught up in women's wombs. Give me a break.

I'm sorry - but I really do not give the first little rip about what goes on with some other woman's womb. Like it or not, agree with it or not, it is none of my business and I do not want to talk about it any more.

Hello! * Knock, knock, knock * CNN, Pravda-USA, MSNBC I've got news for you guys - the issue of women's reproductive rights is dead and settled - has been for about four decades now - can we just let it go? Can't we please focus on the economy, national security, safety and the big ticket issues that really matter to the majority of adults in this country?

Can we please talk about the important grown-up stuff for a change?

I hope so.

Best~

Uh oh....

I think I just pissed off a bunch of people. I... uh... I spoke my mind, said what I really think. D'ya think they'll be mad at me?

See, there's a thread over on the writer's forum I belong to. It's political and unapologetic about the Left and Bernie Sanders and stuff. In response to someone over there I checked out Bern's voting record. Good ol' Bernie voted against high-paying, long-term jobs several times. Construction jobs and energy sector jobs through about a dozen states that would have employed at least many hundreds of people. Perhaps several thousands of people.

But, no. It was "environmentally" bad - despite the fact that the energy industry, by the very nature of its business and the current political environment has got to be more sensitive to what's good and bad for the ecosystem than just about any other industry. They are overseen by so many different watchdog groups and government agencies their employees can't sneeze without a permit in triplicate. Still, Keystone was a non-starter - even though it would have employed tens of thousands of people during its construction. Site workers, truck drivers, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, entire industries would have seen a boon and a boom. He voted against it more than once.

Anyway. Over on that thread, the conversation drifted (abruptly) to "choice" and abortion. The subject of partial birth abortion came up. This is a subject guaranteed to light a fire under those sittin' bones I mentioned the other day. Of all of the things people do to one another, this has got to be the most heinous, evil... words fail. There are no words to express how I feel about this... abomination.

In a partial birth abortion the child is developed enough that it has a heartbeat. It's brain is nearly fully developed. It feels pain. It can hear. It is only days or weeks away from being able to survive outside its mother's body. The subject of whether it is developed enough to have a sense of 'self' is a discussion to have with God or whatever creator or non-entity you choose, but it is ALIVE. It is living. Yet, for whatever reason, it is forcibly "torn" from its safe haven and killed in the most heinous, disgusting and cruel way I can think of.

Okay. Not the most heinous, disgusting and cruel way - being burned alive tops this abomination, but it's so close it makes no difference.

And, according to some on that thread and in the general public forum, it's 'Okay' to do this. It's a "choice". It's "just" a choice. Like picking what shoes to wear with the outfit the woman is wearing. It's a choice, like picking which shade of lipstick looks best in this light or with that scarf. What do I want for dinner? Hmmm. Salad, chicken or abortion? Hey! It's "just" a choice, right?

So I described the procedure of late term abortion - partial birth abortion - as I understand it. I described it as graphically as I could given the fact that I could not stomach the idea of reading in detail about what is done. And I probably offended most of the people on that thread but, you know what? I don't really care. Not one skinny little iota really because the subject is important.

Lily-white hands are not possible if you participate in murder, or advocate for murder, because that is what abortion is - at any stage. It's just "more" evil in the late terms, after that child develops to the point where it can feel pain. That child can also hear. It might not understand, but it can hear and it can feel.

And this was easy to write because it is something about which I feel passionately. Think about it. Really think about it and recognize it for what it is: an irrevocable decision that once made cannot be changed or undone.

If it contradicts or goes against your views, so be it. I am not in a position to express or change anyone's mind but my own. I cannot affect the law - an evil, wicked law in my view, from where I sit. It is what it is but it contravenes anything associated with "humanity".

Logic Found

Before you say it, I’ll say it for you. Yesterday’s post has a major, glaring hole in its logic. I realized that before I posted it, but felt compelled to post, anyway.

Thinking about it afterward – all afternoon, evening and overnight – I think the issue for me is that with a regular abortion, there’s no thought involved.

Anesthetize the carrier, dilate the cervix, insert a tube and whoosh, there goes junior. There’s no skill in that, no talent. A high-school dropout with training could do that just as well as a board-certified surgeon.

With the harvesting, though, it takes a certain skill, pre-planning and forethought. Just like serial killing, and that is why it feels to me like Planned Parenthood is a haven for failed serial killers with medical training.

How can these people look at themselves in the mirror as they shave or do their make-up, thinking forward to their day, knowing that they’re going to hands-on kill unborn children? How can they do that? Are they dead inside with emotion and compassion lying frostbitten in a winter of soul and spirit?

As I’ve said, the so-called harvesting process is more deliberate than a simple abortion. It takes planning and thought, some skill is involved – just like serial killing. Which makes me believe that Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy (Chicago’s ‘Killer Clown’), Gary Ridgway (the Green River Killer) would fit right in at Planned Parenthood. Heck, they got their rocks off killing people so why not do it legally, under a protected umbrella?

After all, the only real difference between the two is that Planned Parenthood has the law on their side. They can kill as many living organisms as they can lay their hands on. The law or PETA or the ASPCA won’t do a raid – they can get away with it.

Of course they would need some medical training. After all, with harvesting, they can’t just thrust a hose in there and turn on a pump. They have to think about what they’re doing and how they’re doing it. It takes skill and forethought – and that’s where I get knotted up.

Some people argue that ‘it’s just a collection of cells’. And I have to ask so?

So are you, so am I. You and I are nothing more than a collection of cells made of chemical compounds.

So are your children, your parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, friends and relations of all stripes. The only differences between that unborn child and you and me are that it’s unborn and it hasn’t had the opportunity to develop into what it might be, as you and I have done.

If we are going to negate the potential of that unborn collection of cells, why don’t we fix world hunger and disease and poverty by eliminating whole lots of other collections of cells?

Seriously, what is the difference? Is it all really a matter of development and consciousness, self-awareness?

Hell, those are totally overrated. Look at the people on the street, the drug dealers and pimps and prostitutes, car-jackers and robbers and burglars. Do they deserve to live more than that child who hasn’t had a chance to do anything at all?

If we’re willing to kill off unborn children, why not get rid of the detritus of humanity that doesn’t contribute to society? We could solve poverty and crime and hunger and an entire dictionary worth of societal woes if we cull the born population.

But who’s going to set the criteria for that?

Maybe we decide based on IQ or perfection of form. Isn’t that how the Nazi’s did it?

An accident of birth that made one person Jewish or Gypsy and another German was the dividing line there. Work them to death.

Lower IQ people weren’t worth anything – burn ‘em.

People who were deformed, missing arms or legs or with a cleft palate or some other ‘defect’ aren’t worth anything. Why not gas ‘em?

Perhaps gender or sexuality should be a criteria by which it’s decided. After all, there are far more women than men on this planet. Get rid of a few tens of millions of women, they’ll hardly be missed.

Heterosexuals, they’re a problem too, because they breed and keep the population going.

Where would that end? Oh, you’re right. They’re just collections of cells so it doesn’t matter. Right?

The born at least have a voice and can speak up. That unborn, undeveloped collection of cells has no voice, no chance to say ‘Hey, hold on a sec’. It’s easy to ignore, to pretend it doesn’t count or doesn’t matter. But shouldn't it matter? Shouldn't it count - at least for something?

I think it should. It should matter a lot, and to more than just me who has no say, no hand, no place in the discussion.

Think about it, that’s all that I ask.

Humanity No Longer Exists

From Wikipedia's page on Josef Mengele:  Jewish twins kept alive to be used in Mengele's medical experiments. These children were liberated from Auschwitz by the Red Army in January 1945.

I have been trying hard to ignore what's headlining some of the news these days. It's the pure evil being perpetrated by Planned Parenthood.

But, as Edmund Burke once said: "The only thing necessary for evil to triumph, is for good men to stand by and do nothing."

So we're clear: I do not like abortion, but I do not think that it is evil. I do think it is infanticide - the killing of an infant - but I do not think the act is evil. Sometimes it is necessary. Sometimes it is, tragically, convenient.

But with the latest atrocities by Planned Parenthood coming to light, I want you to stop for a minute. I want you to, if you can, put your emotions aside and think with your higher reasoning.

One of the hallmarks of life in most of the higher organisms on this planet is a heartbeat. Warm or cold blooded, if it's an animal, there must be a heartbeat for it to survive. No heartbeat = it's dead, not living.

In a hospital setting with a patient, if the heart stops beating and cannot be restarted through resuscitation efforts, the patient is declared dead. There is no heart pushing blood through the circulatory system. In whatever state the brain is, whether with full faculties or ravaged by late-stage Alzheimer's, it cannot, at that point, survive. The patient is dead, taken away for autopsy.

If a woman gets pregnant, her baby's heartbeat is detectable outside the womb between 39 and 50 days after conception. Going by the heartbeat being a sign of life, that baby's heartbeat says 'Hey, I'm alive!' even if it has no consciousness, no self-awareness.

With conception on January 1st, the baby's heart will be discernible with instrumentation (a vaginal ultrasound) on or about February 9th. I think it's probably safe to say that the heart began beating before the moment that ultrasound probe was introduced to the woman's vagina.

So Planned Parenthood, with the complicity of the breeders of these babies (there is no possible way on God's green Earth that a woman aborting her baby can be called a 'mother', since that term indicates parental feeling and caring), allows someone to take their child, to crush that child's skull and lower extremities - saving the torso for 'harvest'.

Does that disturb you, at all? The idea of crushing a child's skull?

Until the forceps clamp down, that was, more than likely, a viable human being - one with the capacity to live, to go to a loving home if the breeder doesn't want it - and yet it's being killed, crushed to death, and this society says 'oh, that's okay. Better than letting it go to waste.'

Whatever happened to the medical Hippocratic Oath of 'Do No Harm'?

Is crushing a child's skull not doing harm?

Imagine if this was something we read about in relation to the Nazi 'cleansing'. Do you suppose that we wouldn't look aghast at this? That we wouldn't condemn it, along with the shootings, the torture, the slave camps and the gas chambers?

Dr. Mengele did a lot of experiments on twins. They were, by civilized standards, horrific things. But what if he had discovered something useful, meaningful in his experiments. Would we look the other way, ignore the cruelty he inflicted on the children he 'studied'?

As it happens, there is an historian who claims that Mengele's experiments were successful - there's a book out called 'Mengele: Angel of Death in South America' and here's the article:

Nazi angel of death Josef Mengele 'created twin town in Brazil'

If this is true, if Mengele's experiments on children did bear fruit, does that make the things he did at Auschwitz acceptable? If you're nodding your head thinking, 'well, maybe...' then I suggest you read this - in full:

Medical Experiments of the Holocaust and Nazi Medicine

A child with a heartbeat at six weeks is too small, too undeveloped, to have anything except stem cells that are of any medical use. But I fear that we're on a slippery slope.

How long will it be before someone thinks about suggesting to the breeder that if they carry that baby just a little longer - until the brain starts functioning and the child can feel pain but isn't yet out of the womb - so that the organs can be harvested for some already born baby?

How long will it be before someone thinks about suggesting that 'harvesting' the organs from an otherwise healthy Down syndrome baby, or one with spina bifida or another birth defect, after it's been born would be a good idea? How many healthy children could be saved by that?

Where does this end? And how on Earth can any people call itself 'civilized' if we are so damned unfeeling, so soulless, that we say that killing our children is okay?

I can't. Not in my wildest imagination can I find this 'acceptable'. Instead, I feel soiled by this, disgusted and ashamed to call myself 'human' because with this, there is no humanity left in the soul of people.
